RB 8R - Geothermal Drilling Rig

The small, crawler mounted geothermal drilling rig

The RB 8R is a self-propelled, fully hydraulically operated geothermal drilling rig. It is ideally suited for drilling geothermal boreholes on smaller-sized projects for which ease of transport, mobility and compact dimensions are important factors.

Typical drilling systems:

  • Overburden drilling with a down-the-hole hammer (with standby compressor)
  • Flush borings (with the use of the installed eccentric screw pump)
